Silent Cat Herbarium

Feline Omens
of the Tarot

7

This is a collection of botanical shirts inspired by wild plants moving through folklore, herbal tradition, myth, and quiet everyday use. Where remedies and stories often overlap, and where nothing belongs to only one category for very long.

A cat moves through these scenes as observer and participant. Stirring, gathering, tending, and occasionally interrupting whatever system of order humans tried to impose on plants in the first place. Never explaining. Only noticing.

Here, nettles sting for reasons older than explanation. Dandelions appear in medicine, memory, and wish-making. Mugwort crosses between kitchens and dreams. And many other plants move through human history like they were never fully domesticated in the first place.

Traditional herbalism once viewed plants as part of a wider relational system – not only matter itself, but participants in cycles of season, body, and environment. Folklore added its own layer: stories, warnings, protections, and thresholds where the visible and invisible brush against each other.

This space gathers those fragments.

Not as definitive answers, but as overlapping ways of seeing the same plant. Some medicinal. Some symbolic. Some difficult to separate.

All of them still growing somewhere, even if only at the edges of attention.

And somewhere in between, the cat continues its work.
