The Cat Cooking Nettles
A cat, a cauldron, a handful of nettles, and an assortment of things that may or may not be relevant to the matter at hand.
Nettle is a plant with character. Touch it carelessly and it makes its presence known. Yet it has long been gathered for food, medicine, fibre, and all manner of preparations.
Over time, the plant has accumulated a strange collection of associations: vitality and protection, blood and iron, Mars and the thunder god, spring remedies and old household traditions. It has never seemed particularly interested in staying in one category.
Cooking, remedy, ritual, and household tradition tend to overlap in the peculiar territory of herbalism. The mushrooms, candles, fruit, old cooking pot, mortar, and bottle of questionable contents all belong to that same untidy territory, where the useful and the symbolic have always had a habit of sitting beside one another.
Part botanical study, part imagined preparation, and part quiet nod to a plant that has been overlooked, removed, feared, eaten, brewed, and valued in equal measure.
Whether this is a recipe, a remedy, or something less easily classified is difficult to establish.

Such great quality of the material which is very soft..the fit is as expected and true to size. The printing is great..I have put it through many washes already (favorite shirt!) and it hasn't cracked or peeled. I do wash inside out and don't dry in the dryer. I love the art so much. Definitely plan to buy more from this retailer!
